Hi there!
Diala Shaheen, Palestinian; BSc in Human Nutrition from University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.
A passionate nutritionist, a foodie with a passion for hummus, a sports freak, a future traveler, & a proud Palestinian.
With a background in Human Nutrition, I am pursuing a career in Sports Nutrition.
The Hummus Theory was born from my pride to represent and celebrate my culture along my passion for human nutrition & health.
Through this blog, I share practical, evidence-based nutritional advice within the Palestinian cuisine in a modern, healthy context. The blog aims to be a guide for youth; a group I believe is most vulnerable, yet capable of achieving optimal nutrition and health. Dishes are prepared simple & quick to specifically appeal to the young generation. This comes from my belief that preparing authentic healthy dishes is a form of empowerment that is vital for our health and identity as youth.
This blog is the final dish when nutrition, culture, art, & food merge.
